Booking information.
The matting is laid down and the wheelchairs are available to book from May to September. To book, just call 07342 236 443. If possible, you will need to bring the completed booking form, or it can be filled in at the time of hire.

We would prefer 24 hours’ notice for land beach wheelchairs, & for Mobi hire, it is essential.

General Safety Rules.

It is very important that the hirer is confident in the use of the beach wheelchair and thoroughly familiarises themselves with its safe operation at the beginning of the hire. This particularly applies to the use of the wheelchair by children.

The manufacturer’s recommended maximum weight is 120kg (19 stone).

Know your own limitations in terms of strength and endurance before attempting any manoeuvres.

Be aware of the current sea conditions and always consider that these can change at any time.

Be aware of tide times, and keep an eye on tidal changes, and on the height and reach of waves. Caution must be taken if using the chairs near the shoreline; stay well back from the water’s edge if the sea is not calm.

When in the wheelchair, use a sunscreen or umbrella to avoid sunburn.

The wheelchair frame can become hot when left outdoors during hot weather.

Do not allow children to stand on any part of the wheelchair.
